Service Summary

George Mason University provides multiple sources for online IT help.

Right Answers is an online database with a wide variety of technical and non-technical information that users can search to help resolve issues, open new incidents, and review incidents. Right Answers is maintained by the ITS Support Center.

A NetID and password are required to access some online help services. All users of the George Mason University network must adhere to University Policy Number 1301: Responsible Use of Computing.

Many online services are available 24/7, excluding planned outages, normal maintenance windows, and unavoidable events. Maintenance windows are Sundays from 7 to 10 a.m. but may be extended to 2 p.m., if needed. If maintenance is required outside of these hours, it will be announced on the Planned Outages web page.

The Live Chat service follows the operating hours of the ITS Support Center, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
