Adobe Software Install

Service Summary

George Mason University has a new subscription agreement for Adobe software. Faculty and Staff can request a new installation of Adobe Acrobat Pro or Adobe Creative Cloud.

Creative Cloud is licensed to be used in classrooms.

Adobe Pro is NOT licensed to be used in classrooms.

How to Get this Service

You will receive an email from Adobe with instructions on how to login and setup your Adobe account. You must complete this in order to receive your software.

Ordering Information

Once you have completed setting up your account you will receive an email with the download link for your requested software. Use the link provided by Adobe to download and install your requested software. After installation starts it will ask what type of license you are installing. Please select the “subscription” option. If you encounter any issues, it may be because you may not have administrator rights on your computer to do the install. Contact your departmental IT or the ITS Support Center to assist you with completing your download. Once installation is complete, in order to launch the program you will need to use your netid@gmu.edu as userid.

Fill out the Adobe Software Install Request form in the ITS Service Portal

There is no charge for Adobe Pro.

There may be a charge of $360.00 for Adobe Creative Cloud, which is still under review. A departmental org code will be required at the time of request in the event a charge is applied.

Availability

This service is available 24/7, excluding planned outages, normal maintenance windows, and unavoidable events. Maintenance windows are Sundays from 7 to 11 a.m. but may be extended to 2 p.m., if needed. If maintenance is required outside of these hours, it will be announced on the Planned Outages web page.
