Bomgar

Service Summary

Bomgar is a remote support tool that allows Information Technology Services (ITS) to provide remote assistance to our customers both on and off campus. ITS can control Windows, Mac and Linux desktops anywhere there is a network connection, but only with the customer’s permission. Departments outside ITS have also purchased licenses in order to securely provide remote assistance to their customers.

All users of Bomgar must adhere to University Policy Number 1301: Responsible Use of Computing.

How to Get this Service

Users with computer issues who contact the ITS Support Center may be requested to accept a Bomgar session.

There is no charge for this service.

Availability

This service is available 24/7, excluding planned outages, normal maintenance windows, and unavoidable events. Maintenance windows are Sundays from 7 to 11 a.m. but may be extended to 2 p.m., if needed. If maintenance is required outside of these hours, it will be announced on the Planned Outages web page.
